The Wellness II and Wellness III are the ultimate in relaxation and exercise for the home. We're all aware that we need to get more exercise to reduce the risk of heart disease, cancer and numerous other diseases. We also know that it only takes small amounts of regular exercise to make a huge effect on our fitness and general well-being. But despite knowing all these things why do we not do any of it?
The simple answer is that humans are instinctively lazy and we like to things that are enjoyable. Most of us will agree that gathering up your gym gear, driving to the gym, getting changed and then spending an hour trying to work your way around fitness equipment that, lets face it, we have no idea how to use or what it does is anything but fun. Not to mention taking up 2 to 3 hours of your valuable time (from leaving the house to getting back home).
So, what if I told you there is a way of getting regular exercise within the confines of your own home and in an easy and enjoyable way? What's more, you would be able to do it all in around 30 minutes a session (you will actually want to spend longer doing it as it's so relaxing).
The answer is the Wellness II and Wellness III swim spas from Coast Spas. They have installed several clasps throughout the shell of the tub which you can attach the elasticated cords to. Then all you have to do is carry out your exercises while supported by the buoyancy of the water. Think of it as aqua aerobics but with resistance equipment (weights machines). It is easy to replicate the various core exercises that you can perform in the gym within your Wellness swim spa. From chest, back, shoulder, arm and leg exercises to abdominals and lower back. Plus you can also swim against the jets in an endless water treadmill and you can even use the seated area at the end of the swimmer (and the resistance bands) as a rowing machine.
All in all there is very little you could do in a gym that you can't do in a Wellness swim spa. There is another huge bonus, if you don't feel like exercising on a particular day you can still get in and let the jets work their magic on your muscles to reduce any aches and pains you may have.
The Wellness II (swim spa) can be purchased on its own but the Wellness III (hot tub addition) cannot. If you want the Wellness III then you do need to purchase them as a package.
We also offer the Wellness I hot tub which offers similar exercise facilities as the Wellness II but in the form of a separate hot tub and is available with the exercise resistance bands and a central balance ring. It was designed following collaboration with the Arthritis Research Centre in Canada and is ideal for people who suffer from Arthritis and other movement restrictions as the warm water helps relieve to the joints and muscles while the water supports your weight allowing you to perform exercises which would be extremely difficult to do on dry land.
